Course 2: Architecture Concepts

This 60-hour course, delivered in the third semester, consisted of three modules aimed at bridging theoretical architectural concepts with precise technical application. Module 1 introduced technical terminology related to building components, as well as distinctions between isometric and axonometric representations and measurement standards. Module 2 focused on translating client requirements into conceptual design schemas and preliminary planning frameworks. It elaborated human-centered design (ergonomics and accessibility), and sustainability in material selection. Module 3 developed learners’ ability to interpret professional-grade execution drawings aligned with Canadian regulatory and industry standards.
